You can say something kindly but at the same time genuinely and honestly without hurting feelings, yet you get your point across. Then walk away. No need to further explain yourself. Your boundaries are your own and they deserve to be heard.

I guess it depends on how far they push it. If they accept “No, thanks,” I see no benefit in shredding them.

Some people are so deaf they can’t hear “No.” in those cases I may explain why it’s no.

There is a middle ground. Polite but firm. Then aggressivly no.

If it's the first time I try to be nice but if they don't take no I get mean with it.

It depends on the person, but I do my best to not be overly mean.

I try to keep my distance so there isn't much need to "reject" later.

I do not mind interacting with others but I need to to be on my term.

Honestly ,it depends- usually I try to be kind about it, but if they're creepy or won't back off I get tough
