what would you do if your parents disinherited you??

Found out I was adopted little over two years ago. The woman I thought was my mother all along privately adopted me when I was a baby to cover up for having a miscarriage and avoiding shame. Our relationship has dissolved completely and I couldn't be happier. She was very toxic. My adoptive father died in 2017 RIP.

I don’t agree with expecting inheritance. To me their money is their own to do what they choose with and if they decided to leave some to their family then great but it shouldn’t be a given.
To many think it’s their entitlement and it’s not.

My father did but he was only worth about £8,000 so it was no big deal. My sister's offered to split the money but I declined the offer as they needed it more than I did.

One of them, my "father", walked out on us when I was 12. Over the last 15 years, I've had the grand total of two hours contact from him . So he already had, as far as I'm concerned.

I make my own money, not dependent in anyone.

Pretty certain there's nothing to inherit. Once my dad passes I'll sell his house and donate the proceeds to the jesuits like he stated in the will.

I'd be bummed honestly but also not completely surprised.

Anything inheritable my youngest sister probably spent, which is just as well. All I ever expected from my parents was love, and they gave us plenty of that. Pop still does.

I'd be more surprised if my mother actually includes me in her will to inherit part of her crop land.
