Since everyone deserves to know true love..........

By the way this is based off another post.

What personality type would best suit a narcissist?
Is it possible to find a personality type that would compliment a narcissistic personality?
Are they just doomed to ruin people's lives and die alone?
SW-User
Narcissistic people do not want true love.
They want adoration.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
A narcissist wont change because they will never accept there is a need to change. Their world evolves around them, nobody elses feelings or opinions will ever matter to them more than their own.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@RubySoo They won’t accept responsibility for their behaviors, they will project that onto others instead.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@cherokeepatti oh yes....they sure do!
Mooed78 · F
There is a difference between Narcissistic personality disorder and people who have Narcissistic traits. It is rarely possible to cure NPD, the person believes they dont have a problem. So no one came help them.. plus its always everyone elses fault.

Dunno

I kinda think we’re all narcs to some degree … we’re all perverts and empaths and day dreamers

We’re an accumulation of everything

I guess it’s what we gravitate to the most

Indulgence is a bastard
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User they don’t care and they leave a trail of damage and destruction.
SW-User
Question is

Did I ?

I get what you’re saying but to put the blame solely on a narc isn’t right … it’s circumstantial too

I’m not perfect @cherokeepatti
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-Userdont know what you did or didn’t do. I know what the narcs that I have known have done and they all follow a similar pattern

Narcissists only ever ruin people's lives. I don't even think they know what love really is.

I don't what personality type but I'm another Narcissist would make it a pretty toxic relationship.
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@VirginMatchmaker so I was thinking maybe someone with multiple personality disorder would be a perfect fit for a narcissist.
The person with the multiple personalities wouldn't realize what was going on because they would be a new person often. Then the narcissist would have a fresh person to suck off of with each new personality. LOL
VirginMatchmaker · 46-50, M
@Dainbramadge omg sounds like a nightmare tbh lol
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@VirginMatchmaker it does almost sound like a horror movie doesn't it? LOL
Lostpoet · M
I think narcissists can change and work on their relationship with someone if they really love that other person and wants to change themselves for the better.
Lostpoet · M
@cherokeepatti But can't everyone change if they try hard enough?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Lostpoet You’ve never met a person who seems to be demon-possessed level of narcissism have you?
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@Lostpoet to be honest I don't think changing is in a narcissist DNA. LOL
Well changing other people might be.
SW-User
Narcs only want their supply until they get what they are after then become bored and seek out their next supply ...i don't think that's even close to true love
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User User mentality
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@SW-User so what if they found someone with multiple personality disorder? That would be like fresh meat everyday wouldn't it?
SW-User
@Dainbramadge That would be taking advantage of someone's mental illness for your own gain ..
MrAboo · 36-40, M
They just need other narcissists
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MrAboo yeah lock them in the basement with each other.
MrAboo · 36-40, M
@cherokeepatti maybe if they were both taking advantage of each other they’d truly understand what they’re doing to others is my thought.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MrAboo No they’d both be acting like victims. That’s what they do when they kicked their butts kicked to the curb. No self-awareness or acknowledgement of faults.
WhateverWorks · 36-40
That really depends on your definition of love.

I personally don’t believe love = toxicity. It’s either mutually healthy (a mutual effort to love in a healthy way) or it’s not love. ‘Unhealthy love’ is an oxymoron to avoid the elephant in the room.
SteelHands · 61-69, M
If two people are both narcissists but one is more inclined to crave attention for her being ravishing beauty and cunning ways, the other for his intellectual and physical prowess, it could be ideal until one of the two lost the plot or their edge.
Mooed78 · F
Narcissism is on a spectrum.. at one end is those who are empaths at the other end its NPD. We all have Narcissistic traits but some more than others. Then some with the disorder...
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
Have you seen the new horror movie called Black Phone
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@JohnOinger no but my boy was just talking about it.
It's supposed to be super freaky.
Wol62 · 51-55, M
Who said that?
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@Wol62 MellyMel22 ask the question about narcissists that spurred this one.
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@Dainbramadge Got it, well I guess everyone deserves love huh?
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@Wol62 or do they? LOL
Lilnonames · F
They always have true love in there ego
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Lilnonames they don’t even love themselves. If they did they would treat good people with respect and love to keep them around them rather than work hard to run them off.

@SW-User I think that is the goal. To see someone change for the better.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User she may have been self-centered but narcissism disorder is pervasive and sticks. There are some psychologists who started believing in God after specializing in dealing with them and believe they need an exorcism. I would agree.
