Open minded comes with limits

This header of being open minded freaks me out when it doesn't have boundaries. Like how far should a person go. I also don't expect others to be open minded without limits.

Open mindedness is important but people have stolen that term and just use it to mean that you don't judge things even if they're wrong, or else they use it to mean never having an opinion about anything. "You don't like the same music as me? You're not open minded!" Open minded means you're willing to consider anything when forming an opinion. If you try something, or think about something, then you're open minded. It doesn't mean you need to like that thing or think it's ok.

@KuroNeko there is no 100% neutral feelings. I always find myself taking a side even watching a game none is my team but I find myself cheering for a team.

@BadLion a game is very involving. A theory maybe doesn't have that emotional element. Its useful to watch your emotions around things. Usually if you stop and ask yourself why something is bothering you, it's not really about the idea in question but an underlying belief.

Better to have a guarded mind rather then an open mind.. Open minds are easy to decieve and lead to destruction..

Sometimes I think a talk that starts with "open minded" is used more to introduce something like sex or else.
