There is certainly a large appetite out there for people to "call out" racism
It provides social approval and group bonding, a sense of superiority and self satisfaction and a dopamine hit
The problem is when the appetite outweighs the incidence

@Activitykittens appetite?
@BackyardShaman the feeling of wanting something or needing something

@Activitykittens so you’re saying they want or need racists
@BackyardShaman I'm saying they want or need the validation which comes from 'calling out racism' and will sometimes be creative if they can't find it or amplify a mini micro 'aggression' into a grevious human rights abuse for their own personal benefit
An example of the former is an anti racism government Advert I watched against discrimination which showed an indigenous person getting on a bus and literally everyone on the bus either grimacing with disgust or rushing to cover the seat next to them 😂, until the person finally found one lone friendly face
I asked an indigenous girl I grew up with what racism she'd experienced as she was growing up and she answered 'none'
So essentially the anti racism Advert is teaching indigenous kids that this is how they're viewed when it isn't the case. And also teaching them to interpret people's actions as racism rather than first look for an innocuous reason. How does this build anyone's self esteem?
Do non indigenous people watching really think that the mere fact of someone being indigenous causes a majority of non indigenous people to cringe away in horror?
And if this isn't true, if this is fictional, why is someone non indigenous posting the Advert on their Facebook with a screed about how they don't tolerate racism?
An example of the later is the girl who wore a kimino to her prom and caused a internet meltdown. Yes, she wasn't Asian but neither were the majority of the people having meltdowns over the horror of this act of 'cultural appropriation' 😂 - they were happy to appropriate the offence
So much of it is empty
And then I'll get to a deeper point. How much power do you want to give something? How much of a threat is it if someone is actually racist? Say I think that Indian people like curry and have large families. How relevant am I? How relevant is the belief? Is it based on an element of truth? How harmful is it? What is my capacity for change? Is it more effective to call me out or invite me to meet an Indian friend?
I really don't care anymore. 😂

It's the ultimate empty virtue signaling 🤮
There's a MUCH bigger demand for racism than supply
Too bad - so sad😩

@SW-User Here's a guy who is helping to increase the supply:

"US President Joe Biden says African-Americans and Hispanics have not been vaccinated because ‘they don’t know how to get online'"
(Funny how its very difficult to find the video for this now. Google/YouTube serving the Democrat Party again?)

@graphite X probably has it somewhere
@graphite I've found that too lately when I've gone back to find content. I know YouTube were recently labelling anything that didn't fit the Democrat party line as "against the terms of service"
For example if someone refered to a trans male as a he the video was banned and the person threatened with being kicked off YouTube if they repeated the "hate crime"

@graphite It's the same as how "me too" and "believe all women" disappeared when Biden was credibly accused of manually raping Tara Read
