He was working in the security industry as I do and everyone knew that this guy was not the brightest right? When he was younger a guy in the area used to take him round houses and warehouses to clean them out! He'd give the kid a mars bar for every place they did! Telling him that he was helping the people move! Ummm...no you fool he was robbing the place.
Anyway, years when by and this guy worked as a security guard, he bumped into that guy he "worked" for all those years ago and struck up a conversation. The guy was keen to learn what places he was guarding. One night, he heard a sound went out to investigate and found a mars bar on the ground. He picked it up and took it back into the sight he was guarding and eat it and that was all the remembered for the next 6 hours and he woke up and the place was robbed...and he had been too.

omg. that is horrible
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@akindheart Yeah, I mean he didn't twig what was going on as a kid and as an adult right?

Ozuye502 · 36-40, M
Drugged on the job yea dont pick up shit and eat it. Especially now with cheap fentonal around hes lucky he didn’t suffer an over dose and die.
TheDisciplinarian · 61-69, M
@Ozuye502 Exactly
PEACH4LIFE · 46-50, F
Oh wow! 🤣😂🤣 My question is why would he pick up and eat a random Mars bar thats on the ground.........
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@PEACH4LIFE You think that was like, really low class to do that?
PEACH4LIFE · 46-50, F
@Wol62 not necessarily low class but definitely strange (well unless he was homeless and really hungry.)
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@PEACH4LIFE Well, turns out he was bored, had a sweet tooth, saw it and thought "ha ha, that one is mine".
Graylight · 51-55, F
Look, armchair quarterbacking is easy. I'd never fall for that, people say. Hide in a spot 2 feet taller than a person and then see if they can ever find you. We have odd little psychological quirks; could be that guy's brain refused to let him grow up suspicious and unwilling to trust.

I'll say this - it's a great story to tell in a pub.
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@Graylight Thanks! I think a lot of people would fall for it too.
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
Please tell me it wasn't you
HeadGirl42 · 46-50, F
That sounds awful... But yes, the guy should perhaps have learnt his lesson... But maybe we're all a little too trusting sometimes...
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@HeadGirl42 Yeah? He heard that noise, walked out and saw the mars bars, had a shit eating grin and wellwell.
Jeremi · 41-45, M
whoa. some shit can happen in real life no matter how uncanny it may seem
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@Jeremi Totally!!!!!!
Jeremi · 41-45, M
@Wol62
thankfully my past security stories are just dumb and laughable
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@Jeremi Would love to hear those, only if you feel comfortable sharing.
IHTBY · 41-45, F
Oh my!Poor guy!
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@IHTBY Yeah, he had no idea what happened to him.
Doctrble · 46-50, M
Not good at all
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@Doctrble Guess not. Who would falls for the oldest trick in the book right?
LaLumieri · 51-55, F
bentonlake · 61-69, F
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@bentonlake Thanks, guess that says it all!
Mikla · 61-69, F
Wow, this is sad, Obviously the "not so bright" worker had mental challenges all his life. The man who took such advantage of another person, clearly not all with all his faculties is deplorable.
Kowabunga · 51-55, M
It’s easy to trust people. Personally I trust no one
NinaTina · 26-30, F
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@NinaTina Yeah they walked in and found him snoring his head off, said it sounded like a saw cutting wood.
Falling for that one as a kid is understandable. I would hope he would learn as an adult, though.
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@LordShadowfire Ohhhhh, he still didn't get it and they think the mars bar was laced with ketamine.
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@LordShadowfire Well he bumped into that guy 35 years later, told him he was training to be a security guard, told him where he worked, gave him directions to the site and told him he'd be working there alone over the weekend.
