New AC or not?

Last year my AC BEGAn getting so loud, and someone said check near the grill. Had pink slime! Ughh. They told me to clean it and the loud motor sound should lessen. Its a droning loud sound. I never got to clean it then..Do I try to clean the pink slime, Would it clear this loud sound, or get a new AC? (Its several years old)

Please listen. Pull it out. Take the cover off. Clean the cover. Take the unit, to car wash and spray, everything out, not denting any fins. It's more involved, but will be, good as new! PM, for questions.
