This man is beyond a joke

My ex begged me to let him have the kids for a full week this week after being a one weekend a month dad for years. Well, one weekend a month he has our 2 sons. He rarely has our daughter because she screams and cries about not wanting to go with him.

I agreed and he told the kids all these exciting things they would do so even our daughter wanted to go for once.

Shock! It took him 10 hours to return our 6 year old daughter.

32 hours to return our 9 year old son.

3 hours after returning our 9 year old, he text me to say our 11 year old son was crying because he wanted to come home. But he said he couldn’t be bothered to drive him to me so my 20 year old went and picked him up.

Successful “week” with dad!!!!!

Good lord. Why do some men even bother becoming fathers? My ex was the same…and even now, ten years after I left him, our daughter is 22 and their relationship consists of him sending her a few cutesy cat videos each week. He lives 3 hours away and hasn’t even been here to see her for TWO YEARS! (and even that was the first and only time he has driven the 3 hours to see her)
It’s disgusting to me. I’m sorry your kids are dealing with that bullshit too. They are probably better off without such a poor father figure

@ImpeccablyImperfect It’s ridiculous how little some fathers care. Cute cat videos are nice and everything but if he thinks that is a relationship he’s insane. My ex was great until I got pregnant with our third. He used to be good with our boys but now he just doesn’t care. He’s always been crap with our daughter and always says he has nothing in common with her!!!!

@ImpeccablyImperfect It is so tough as a mother. Especially as my dad was fantastic. I wish for that for all kids.

@resealableheart @ImpeccablyImperfect I have a cousin he went to see his dad when he was 17 for a week. They didn't see each other again for 20 year's. His dad had major surgery just recently and he decided to go see his dad. His mom took him because it was a 10 hour drive. He told me he all most didn't recognize his own dad.
