@Ferric67 It's not negativity hun, it's true. So far it's true anyway. I suppose if I felt bad about myself it would be negative, but I don't. I simply observe how I'm treated and usually people don't notice I'm there. It doesn't hurt my feelings. I'm used to it.

@pripyatamusementpark I'm okay with it too. I never could figure it out and I'm too old to care now.

@Umile It's great you figured it out. I've spent a lot of time understanding myself, but a lot around me changed in ways that don't make sense to me, in about the last five years. So now I'm relearning and unlearning. Change is the only constant, so I stay curious so I don't go stale and start treating people like I have all the answers and they're stupid for questioning. I don't think anybody has it figured out and in believing they do, they close their doors to exceptions.

@MarbleMarvel that's a good question. I think it's just too much for most people to stomach. Everyone's so fucking fake right. Everyone cares so much about how they are perceived, what others might think of them. I mean right, I think that's what it comes down to. For people that go against the mainstream and the normal and what's widely accepted, we will always receive backlash and be questioned and judged.

@Notsimilarreally So how did fake become mainstream? Media? Or is this a hand-me-down from generations of keeping up with the neighbors?

Sometimes I really wonder what's wrong with me that I can't think that way. It makes my brain go sideways. I just can't. I don't care what people think of me, I can't control what people think. I accept and want acceptance. But that's wrong 🤯

@Idontbelonghere The greatest feeling I ever got was in mid August 2001 when I first moved in with my late ex fiancee and her younger son, I had cooked a slow beef roast for them with all of the veggies and from scratch gravy, my late ex fiancee told me that he never touches gravy but she had a rule, at least try it, he tried it, his eyes went wide and smiled, asking if we had any straws for the gravy, she asked me what I put in the gravy, I told her the juice from the roast and veggies and a bit of a corn starch and water slurry.
