What's one thing you wish people understood about you before they judged you?

I wish people would understand I have an outsider's perspective. I have zero safety or support and I haven't in a long time. And believe it or not, it will eventually eat away at a you.

I wish people could understand I no longer want to be a caretaker. Don’t try to “match” me with the nice woman who has some health issues.

@AlchemyFox Not so much that but after eight years I need “my” time.

@SageWanderer I can understand that. Just sucks to hear it. My Mom ended up with dementia and her husband moved another woman into her house when she was in hospice. Like I'm supposed to be okay with him ditching her because she had dementia? And having issues myself, I have no hope of a man ever sticking by me.

But I'll live as long as I can and to hell with love.

@AlchemyFox I believe in “for better or worse” once you take that vow. There are no regrets because it was the kind of relationship that most people dream of having. I understand your feelings and the trauma you have experienced. It’s just at this point mentally I can’t do it again.
