What shaped your emotional maturity the most?

I would say learning how to take the perspective of others and see how I could be perceived as saying and doing things in a way that was very different from my intention. Also, just acknowledging that life is hard and attribute my disappointment in people to the fact that generally people lack self-awareness rather than being 'bad people'.

Pain, pain and more pain. Then dealing with that pain and being able to recognise and understand it in others.

A lot of heart ache makes a man gain strength and courage.
