I overshare... but, the reason why I overshare is because I never had any privacy growing up.
I don't know what it's like to not have my secrets broadcast half way around town.
In fact, looking back now, I see that my own mother confessed to others that she was sexually abusing me from a young age - and no one said or did anything to even tell her that she shouldn't be sharing what she did to me because she could still be prosecuted for it as long as she lived.
That is just one example of the "secrets" she talked about.
