Probably. They may also have grown up with a parent who was a domestic abuser and thought that’s normal

@Jenny1234 Yes but i was told trauma and abuse can cause personality disorders.

Those who were abused sometimes can end up being the abuser

@Jenny1234 I read once that you are 4x more likely to develop a personality disorder if you was abused
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@JosephtheEmpath it’s very likely.

@Jenny1234 Are a lot of abusers Narcissists
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@JosephtheEmpath maybe but for sure all narcissists are abusers. Other abusers have anger issues, lack of self control, turn to rage when they cannot control people or situations, fail to regulate their emotions. But not all mentally ill people are abusive either

@Jenny1234 But thats what a Narcissist is
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@JosephtheEmpath yes, but not mentally ill people are narcissists and not all personality disorders are narcissism. Narcissist and Antisocials are likely to abuse, because they lack empathy and remorse. Borderlines for example don't lack empathy.
