@SW-User We have just entered an historical heat wave, 🥵 and the coast is packed! We can't find anything available this weekend! Plus they've jacked the prices up so high! Fall is the best time to go, I sure miss living there when the summer rolls around.😔

@Peaches I am not surprised that you can't find anything at this time of year. I booked a weekend at the beach one time in August and said after that 'never again'.

@SweetMae The beach is mainly pebbles but the hills go right down to the sea. Some lovely walks with the wind in your hair!

@SweetMae It’s so crowded on holidays and weekends out there. They charge an admission fee to get in, it’s a state park. And now started charging to park a vehicle. I can get a Senior exemption for parking though. There are a couple of places that you don’t have to pay a fee to use to go fishing and I might do that some time. Haven’t gotten a fishing license yet, I can get a lifetime Senior fishing license for a small fee.

@cherokeepatti I enjoy fishing too! I was able to get my license free. Old age perks! 😂

@SweetMae Used to they didn’t even require a license when you turned 65 here in Oklahoma and now they do…I’m not a hunter but I might as well pay a few dollars more and get a combo lifetime hunting/fishing license just in case I need to do some hunting.

@SweetMae I know a few spots that have water deep enough with swimming and nice wide banks with shallow calm water along the edge thats perfect for sitting in a camp chair with your feet in the water

@SweetMae I went with a friend last weekend and I’m taking my girls today. 😊 it’s my happy place to relax and escape reality right now. Having no cell coverage for hours at a time really helps with that!
