No... LET ME TELL YA A STORY 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sooo a Loooong time ago me and my Mom went to Daytona Beach Florida... And I have one them Boogie Boards you lay on and catch the Waves and it Launches you up to the shore really fast... Well I'm standing in about waist high water waiting on a good wave with my Boogie Board... And I see one coming... But like it didn't look that high so I THOUGHT I was getting ready for a good ride... Well when that wave got to me it was over my head and came Crashing down on top of me and pulled me into the Undertow and everything... I was lucky I didn't drown... And I came up with Salt Water Coming out my nose and everything LOL... I was DONE after that 🤣🤣🤣🤣 NO MORE Boogie Board after that... The Ocean kicked my A** 🤣🤣🤣🤦🤦🤦

I used to but not since I saw an aerial shot of what's out there waiting
LordShadowfire · 51-55, M
@faery Yeah, them big fishies aren't very much fun to swim with in the wild, are they?
faery · F
@LordShadowfire Not at all
CallMeWhatever · F
Yes, I love the feeling of being out in the sea
JohnnyNoir · 61-69, M
I like swimming to the edge of the Earth where I can watch all the water rushing over it
Jasmine2026 · F
Yes I have before
exexec · 70-79, C
No. I was never comfortable in the ocean, so I stayed near the beach.
Elessar · 31-35, M
Yeah I do it often in summer, especially during the sunset. There's a perfect spot where you no longer hear any sound from the coast, only the waves, and at the same time you're still in non navigable waters.

when i was a kid i did.. nowadays im afraid of sharks
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I used to as a kid. I haven't been in a sea properly in 10 years though.
SirNedKelly · M
No, as we have our own inground pool, plus a 5 seater heated spa
Never been to a beach before but I think when I DO go I won't venture far from shore... Open water is terrifying to me
Degbeme · 70-79, M
No, I swim like a rock.
thepeculiarpanda · 36-40, M
Nope, not a fan of water. I got held under in a pool when I was 13 and that was the end of my swimming days.
notsure · 56-60, M
No i like to be able to touch the bottom
swirlie · 31-35, F
Yes, I do all the time when I'm staying near a beach. I lived on Lake Erie from early youth who's shoreline bordered the back of our farm property. My father's greatest fear was that his daughters would wander back into the lake and be lost forever ...and hopefully never found again....
For that reason, he insisted that we learn how to swim starting at age 3 which was done at the local YWCA in town. Since those days, I became a competitive swimmer and I learned how to swim like a dolphin.. sort of!

I've never swum in the ocean, but I used to wade out into the ocean with my cousins. It always felt weird afterward, walking on dry land that wasn't moving with no waves pushing me.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
No. I am a very weak swimmer, hardly bouyant in sea water and not at all in fresh; and can manage only a few yards before tiring. I stay very safely within my depth, usually by wading out and swimming back in.
