A misty beach

When I reached the beach last Saturday morning, the tide was out, but the mist was in.

Too chilly to photograph.
This is what I painted on a previously misty morning.

A very atmospheric scene!

@ArishMell I wish now I had taken black and white photos last Saturday. Or even sepia. Misty beaches are ethereal.

@peterlee My commuting route used to be partly across flat fields and heathland, and on Spring and Summer mornings these could display lovely lighting effects.

Ground-hugging mist would give the impression of the higher areas resembling islands in the sea. Sometimes the furze bushes looked as if covered in frost but it was actually dew on masses of spiders' webs, catching the sunlight.

Another part of the route led along the side of a valley and that could have an air of mystery due to thick mist in it, below the road level.
@ArishMell seems your paintbrush isnt paint, but words.

I 'saw' as i was reading 🤗
