Have you ever eaten Shark Fin Soup?

The weirdness of humans.
Taking Shark Fins is illegal yet restaurants that serve it are still able to trade.
Where is the sense in that. Why are the restaurants not closed and the owners imprisoned?

Shark is often called white fish. And sold everywhere here in the USA. This has always been true. Not a recent change.

Many likely had it, not even knowing that it was shark.

Very expensive, lucrative black market. Up to $1,400 a kilogram.

@Gusman The point is they don't make a distinction here in the USA. Shark is shark here. Not even the type of shark matters. And there are literally hundreds of different types of sharks.

It doesn't matter if it's hammerhead, Sand or even tiger shark. Just to name a few. It's all shark or the alternative names.
