Vermont public nudity

Is it ever warm enough to go nude in Vermont ?

Surprisingly, a lot of states do not necessarily prohibit simple nudity. They usually have something added in which the nudity needs to be considered lewd or indecent. It's a bit of a grey area, a lot of LEO's will just write a disorderly. Vermont is more lenient, because there is no state provision regarding nudity, however, they do have prohibitions regarding lewd and lascivious behavior.

I seem to recall a town in Vermont where its allowed. I'm guessing winter is problematic 😁

In one city in Vermont it is not legal to get undressed but it is legal to be nude if you leave your house that way.

They do have city ordinances now I have heard as a few years ago there used to be an old guy about 70 that would ride his bike to town from his acreage nude everyday to get mail and groceries. He did it for many years but the town made an ordinance against nudity in public. So there might be more towns / cities that have done the same. Personally my husband and I love hiking nude but have to do it in areas away from people as our state is very puritanical about it.

Might be a tad bit chilly to be naked in Vermont at the moment. 🥶

But I believe that this was brought up in the context of higher education years ago, if that helps, though this is more to simply affirm what you heard, rather than amplify it.

There are a couple beaches on Lake Champlain that are described in various guides as clothing optional, but I've been to them a few times and I was always the only naked person there.
