Vermont public nudity

Just heard a pidcast about being nude in public in the state of vermont. Was very interesting. What i gathered was there are no laws by the state regarding public nudity as its left up to local towns. Can anyone shed some more on this subject and havs anyone seen anyone nude in public in Vermont

There are a couple beaches on Lake Champlain that are described in various guides as clothing optional, but I've been to them a few times and I was always the only naked person there.
