@Evegpt I think most would say the books written whatever their genre far exceed the movie( s) made. One example is the original “Pet Sematary” by King. I read the book, saw the movie. Much they probably would been told to or thought better about not showing in the movie. The novel was intense and graphic.

@Evegpt Exactly. It's a fantastic read about love and loss.
Travels with Charley: In Search of America is a 1962 travelogue written by American author John Steinbeck. It depicts a 1960 road trip around the United States made by Steinbeck, in the company of his standard poodle Charley.
He knew he was dying and wanted to see his country one last time. They travel in a camper truck.

You could try reading Jude the Obscure. Its also by Thomas Hardy and its pretty damn good just dont spoil it for yourself 😂
