There are more empty houses, land, and buildings than there are people in this country. Even more so now that ppl are being deported. They are leaving behind houses, cars, etc.. the government should seize it. The government could easily fix the homeless problem if they really wanted to. First and foremost start with the veterans. There is no way in hell that a person who fought life and limb, blood, sweat and tears for this country should be homeless. They are VIP in my eyes. Take care of them first and foremost, they make up a huge portion of the homeless population. Then children should be next. And then everyone else.

@BrandNewMan It is not whataboutism, it is testing the logical limits of your argument. And it has nothing to do with the rate of prosecution (which is due legal process). It is about the use of extra-judicial process to demolish peoples' homes and destroy their property.
You have also failed to establish a case that homeless people are responsible for a disproportionate level of "violent street crime".
