Absolutely!! There's nothing sacred about a one-day casting of votes. Election day is when they begin to be counted sure. But having a range of days on which to cast votes means weather conditions, sickness, job obligations, etc won't be an obstacle to voting.
The idea is to give people as much of a chance to vote as possible.
