Is delusion a mental illness?

When Biden did poorly in the first debate, most Democrats admitted it. This time Trump did poorly (even by FOX NEWS) and his base along with Trump himself, refuse to face it or blame everyone else. Do we really want a totally delusional person with his finger on the button regardless of his policies?

@AthrillatheHunt Precisely. The rumors about them eating pets in Ohio are racist at their core. They're basically saying, "These people don't know how to behave in civilized society. We should send them back." And I've seen no sign of that. They recognize that the animals roaming the streets in this country are not for food. They know when they've got it better than they did back home. Nobody's going to go around hunting the neighbor cats when they can get meat at a reasonable price at the corner store.
