So who will replace Kamala Harris ?

which obviously will fail to replace Biden
IM5688 · 61-69, M
Trump, when he gets voted back into the presidency in 2024.

@LeopoldBloom

"Surely [Trump's] done something you disagree with. I don't mean stuff he's said, but stuff he's done.

Easy as pie. Trump should have taken Covid seriously earlier than he did.

Meanwhile, Leo, more people are viewing Trump's presidency better than Biden's in hindsight.

"Perhaps most troubling for Biden: 51% of respondents said they now approve of Trump's job performance when he was president from 2017 to 2021, compared to 41% who said they approve of Biden's current job performance."
Maybe that had something to do with the boss Democrats dumping Biden.

On a related note, here's a pretty funny joke I came across.

@Thinkerbell OK, that was pretty good.

I completely agree, Trump's response to COVID was a disaster. Not just his refusal to take it seriously at the beginning, but undermining the governors who were attempting to limit its spread. And then pushing Operation Warp Speed while telling people not to get vaccinated and to take worthless treatments like ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine. COVID was a golden opportunity to unite the country against a common enemy. If Trump had taken the lead on that, he would have been reelected in a landslide.

Biden's problem is messaging, which accounts for the warped view of Trump's presidency, which should include COVID and the massive unemployment and stock market crash. Biden didn't succeed in selling his infrastructure bill, which among other things is making the US independent of semiconductors from Taiwan and possibly keeping us out of a war if China decides to invade it. His quick action in sending a carrier group to the eastern Mediterranean after Oct. 7 may have stopped Iran from ordering Hezbollah to open a second front in the Gaza war. And Biden has at least kept Russia from winning in Ukraine. But you can't campaign on "look what didn't happen." Also, people are responding to higher prices for groceries.

A comprehensive assessment of both the Trump and Biden presidencies is decades away. I've noticed that academic rankings of the best and worst presidents always put Lincoln, FDR, and Washington on top, and Buchanan and Johnson (the first one) on the bottom, but in between, recent presidents tend to be overrepresented. And the public's memory is even shorter. I'm old enough to remember in the mid-1970s when Richard Nixon was the most hated man in human history, coming out ahead only of Adolf Hitler. 50 years on, he gets credit for opening relations with China and his environmental policies which at the time were overshadowed by Watergate.

Yeah, well, even if that were the case, which I don't believe, there's the fact that he's basically become the puppet of the Heritage Foundation. Ask yourself if you want Project 2025 implemented in the United States.

(Yes, I know, he says he doesn't know anything about it. He's also stated he never knew Jeffrey Epstein. So miss me with that sһit, because we both know Donald Trump lies when it's convenient to him.)
She gonna come down with Covid ??

@CorvusBlackthorne That’s good you got an A in English. You should’ve studied science though to know a cotton mask won’t stop a microscopic virus and how vaccines work. Oh yeah, the CDC called. They said it’s time for your 57th booster.

@DocSavage Of course I’m worried if she wins. This country will be even worse off than it is now. That should have every red blooded American worried.

I don't think one is any better than another😂
You mean replace her as vice-president? It looks like it's coming down to Kelly, Whitmer, Pritzker, Beshear, Shapiro, Buttigieg, or Cedric Richmond, a staffer in the Obama administration. If you're asking who will replace Harris at the top of the ticket, nobody. She already has enough pledged delegates for the nomination.

A better question is who will replace JD Vance now that he's turning into a liability.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@LeopoldBloom No. Force Donald to keep him.
@LordShadowfire I'm not actually seeing any Republicans calling for Vance to be replaced. Everything is coming from Democrats who see what a dumpster fire Vance is, and think Trump will replace him out of common sense. Trump doesn't have a problem replacing people, but since Vance was nominated, as far as I know the only way he can be replaced is if he steps down voluntarily. I don't see him doing that as Theil and Musk would exert pressure to prevent that.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@LeopoldBloom Good. Make him go down with the ship.
