So...Former Slaves were given a mule and 40 acres: the land was appropriated from white slave owners after the Civil War. This was done to make

reparations to the Freedmen for being enslaved.

Now, the State of California, wants to pay ALL black citizens of California who are the descendants of slaves about $200,000 each using state funds. My question is...when does it stop? Are the grandchildren of these Californians going to be pissed off because Grandma and Grandpa blew all that dough and they didn't get any? Will THEY ask for MORE reparations? What if people from...Ohio...for example, move to California and never receive reparations?

Does this open a very messy can of worms?
