Actually if memory serves the symbol we know as the swastika was a commonly used symbol in both Hindu and Buddhist faiths and it refers to family or children before Hitler misappropriated it having been given false information from his preferred Nazi historians believing it to represent 'the German motherland'
@NativePortlander1970 I think it illustrates the point perfectly. Push a symbol with an unpalatable association long enough and people will associate one with the other. It's even used to this day in advertising

I haven’t seen any Palestinian with it, but as several Asian cultures were among those who had it first, who can say ? As for the Mufti and his affiliation with Hitler, more likely an alliance of convenience like that of the Japanese—not because Hitler considered them part of his "Master Race".
@bijouxbroussard And Netanyahu’s claim that the Mufti "gave Hitler the idea" of murdering the Jews rather than relocating them doesn’t match the timing. When they met, in 1941, Hitler had already long since begun having people thrown into the camps and murdered. 😞
When Mohammed founded his religion the area was filled with Jews, Christians and Pagans

This animosity wasn't helped by the fact that Mohamed's death was caused by poisoning by an elderly Jewish female captive
For some people the conflict goes even further back to Abraham with Jews being descendents of Sarah and Muslims descended from Ishmael, the son of Sarah's handmaid Hagar
Ironically the Bible says of Ishmael, "He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.”
So when Hitler came along....it was a natural allegiance for some
Yeah, the swastika originated long before Hitler. That ain’t got shit to do with Muslims and Nazi aligning themselves against the Jews though. But…. As they say, my enemy’s enemy is my friend.
