Recent developments in Syria

The Syrian rebels overran most of Aleppo this weekend. Not much is said about current western support given to Syrian rebels, but we can be sure they are still heavily supported by US and UK. The CIA helped the rebels with a number of operations in the past. They probably helped them with this operation. Until US and Israel stop interfering in the Middle East, there will be war in the Middle East. It is up to Iran and Syria how they govern their countries. Turkey should back off too.

That part of the world has seen roughly 5 thousand years of conflict, but somehow I remain confident that >This< is the year we achieve lasting peace in the middle east! I know, I'm just a glass half full guy I guess...

@GerOttman You are right. The Middle East is an important region and it has seen many wars over thousands of years. It is ancient and has seen many empires. When Islam came to exist, Muslims had wars with other Muslims, and they fought for the Middle East to be Islamic. Millions have died through brutal wars in these lands. The Muslims don't want there to be a Jewish state in the Middle East, but the Jewish state also wants to dominate the Middle East and keeps killing everyone. They can't accept that you cannot undo thousands of years of having nothing and being no one. How can you suddenly rule the Middle East when it was Muslims ruling it for centuries? What is wrong with the likes of Assad? Why can't they leave Iran and Syria alone?
