Desperate putin

We are now entering day 66 of the 'special military operation' to take Kyiv in two days. That pretence has been a humiliating failure, so I expect that the neurotic liar putin will formally declare war on Ukraine in the next week or two.

This will allow him to declare martial law, force all current conscripts to remain in the army for as long as he wants, and introduce nationwide conscription. This will make it easier for the war criminal putin to hide the 23,000 dead russian soldiers that he and his criminal clique still won’t acknowledge.

He will also be able to nationalise foreign holdings in russia. Frankly, those Western corporations still operating in russia deserve to lose their assets there.

The resultant surge of patriotism among the barbarian population will help him to divert attention from the shortages and difficulties caused by the sanctions. The russian thieves have just stolen hundreds of thousands of tonnes of grain from Ukraine. The russians say щи да каша пища наша (cabbage soup and gruel are our food), but apparently they’re hanging out for bread and alcohol instead... or perhaps the russian looters are running out of washing machines and laptops to steal.

The pretext will probably be attacks on russian apartment blocks or some such ‘outrage’... in reality, carried out by the russian FSB (again!)

@gdon39 Ukrainian estimates... which are noticeably less than NATO estimates (to my surprise)

"The pretext will probably be attacks on russian apartment blocks or some such ‘outrage’."

People , myself included , had probably forgotten how that KGB rat came to power. i.e. Killing innocent Russian civiians to bolster his own anti-terrorism credentials.

We've come to the realisation far too late that we are dealing with a monster who will stop at nothing. Sadly , the only solution to this war now will be on the battlefield.

War to be declared May 9.
Nuclear Threats
Mobilisation

The west has nine days......
Send guns and munitions NOW

The last gasp of putin’s final days....
@KiwiBird That's your perspective, I appreciate. I think Putin knew if he set war in Europe, he was opening a longer war similar to the cold war and let's hope it only ends there?
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@KiwiBird 'or even a 10 year russian/Afghanistan one.'

I wouldn't bet on it. The war in the east has already being going on for eight years.
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
@RodionRomanovitch True. However and this current offensive is simply a continuation of that and Crimea. I thought it might be a long drawn out war....however Ukraine has surprised us all and russia has been somewhat underwhelming. Hopefully it will finish sooner rather than later and putin will be buried.

He wanted to denazify and demilitarise UA, but it looks like it's Russia that is about to be demilitarised and denazified. It'll be hard to operate an army, suppress political opposition and above all maintain nukes operational with a third world economy.

Putin's govt days are numbered.

sorry, just realized how old your comment is

no matter what guise putin wants to call his special operation it still is an illegal occupation of another country ..this was a declaration of war the first shot or missile fired at ukraine by putins troops . all putin achieves as a declaration of war is then it would not be classed as an illegal invasion [newjaninev2]

@jshm2 the russian gangster state caused this (soon to be) war when their army invaded the sovereign democracy of Ukraine and began murdering Ukraine’s men, women, children, and babies.
gdon39 · 41-45, M
Good post. It’s such a world chess match that isn’t working.

I only question the source of the stated 23,000 dead Russian soldiers. Where does that data come from?
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@gdon39 Even more interesting is the number of barbarian generals (10) and colonels (35) who have become sunflowers.

We should also note the number of oligarchs, business leaders, and senior bureaucrats, who are having fatal accidents, or committing suicide
ArishMell · 70-79, M
Nearly two years on and the liar has never formally declared war on Ukraine and still calls his invasion a "special military operation".

It's not only grain that Russia has stolen "officially". Having destroyed the steelworks along with most of the city of Mariupol, it took all the stock of manufactured steel, much of which had already been bought and paid for by foreign customers.

desperate people do dangerous things

this will only escalate more

never play with sore losers who go all in with borrowed time
Tracos · 51-55, M
@Tastyfrzz the problem is not that they die, but how they die.. .and who they take with them in that final act

@newjaninev2 I understand enough. I'm not here to argue with you. I'll come back to you few weeks later when Russia will capture donbass and may be Odessa too. You can feel happy thinking Putin didn't take Kiev, I'll feel good thinking Ukraine is a defacto landlocked region and Russia gaining black sea port. Have a good day. 🙂
ididntknow · 51-55, M
@newjaninev2 Do you think the Ukrainians have told any lies, or do they tell the truth, all of the time?
Elessar · 26-30, M
@SW-User
when Russia will capture donbass and may be Odessa too.
Capturing is one thing, maintaining control over the region is another, especially when every single person in that territory is fighting against you tiredlessly.

It's quite likely that RU, at the end of the whole sh*tshow, will lose Crimea rather than gain any territories. The west can afford financing Ukraine's resistance far longer and with a far more consistent budget than Russia can do with its own offensive.
ididntknow · 51-55, M
The war is a proxy war between America and Russia, just happens that Ukraine is the place where it’s happening, America have even said as much,
Biffed · 26-30, M
There are unprecedented times indeed😫
Zonuss · 41-45, M
This war has nothing to do with the things you just mentioned above.
But that's a story for another day.
Or open minded people.
Thank you.😌
Zonuss · 41-45, M
Putin is Trumps buddy.
Be careful now.🙂
