Pretty close to everything I do. Otoh, they did things I have never had to deal with which I am forever grateful: leaving homelands, cultures, families, languages that were familiar to sail to a new land; fight in a Revolutionary War for their independence; be abolitionists in a slave state; move west into the new territories; survive the Great Chicago Fire; fight in the Civil War and WWII. . .the list goes on, but you get the drift.
