I was 17 years old and had just graduated high school. My summer job that year consisted of being the Managing Director of Sales and Marketing of our family-owned, portable vegetable stand which was set up at the end of our farm laneway on a gravel road pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

...yes, but they were tough on me. My Dad would load up our farm wagon with fresh produce in the morning, then he'd toss me the keys to the tractor and would tell me to unload this stuff in the vegetable stand on my own and have it all sold by sundown, or don't bother coming in for dinner.
