Is this passage from a concerned person in Chicago or possibly Portland?

"Terrible things are happening outside.
At any time of night and day, poor helpless people are being dragged out of their homes. Families are torn apart. Men, women, and children are being separated. Children come home from school and to find that their parents have disappeared."

It's quite haunting, isn't it? It seems to be an accurate account of what is happening in the Trump Police State now.

Does history repeat? Have the words of a child, written decades ago, come back to us as a warning?

Whenever I see a post like this and there’s a laughing emoji under it, I check to make sure that person’s someone I’ve blocked. Nine times out of ten, they are.

Anyone who thinks this sort of thing is funny, is no one I want to deal with. 😞

@bijouxbroussard Typical magat - probably claims to be a christian

@bijouxbroussard I do, too. The only difference is, it's usually someone who has me blocked, because I make a nuisance of myself to those people.
The worst part about history seeming to repeat itself may be that's its no accident.

While people scream about the Nazi similarities and the "hatefulness" of pointing them out, Trump and those who pay him continue to profit.

@MistyCee

"Point taken with Germany losing the war, but..."

"Aside from that. Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?" 🙄

And there's hardly a member of Congress (including Bernie) who doesn't become a muti-millionaire, especially Nancy. 🙄

@Thinkerbell So what?
@Thinkerbell Sure, politicians feather their own nests, but Trump's Trump. He has to have the biggest, most garish and tacky nest, the likes of which the world has never seen, complete with gold covered feathers.

There's lots of differences between H and T, but I think one big difference is age. H took power and died relatively young, while Trump had a long and successful fraud career before taking office and doesn't seem concerned with building a 1000 year Reich or even leaving anything standing after he's finished looting.

I'll say this, though. As much as I despise the guy, I've always liked the idea of fewer bombs and guns and more economic competition.

You beat me to it. I was going to post that here and see who would mistake it for something in 2025.

Very Trumpian.
Americans inspired Hitler with their Indian reservations and conscientious objector internment camps.
