Trump Promises "Bloodbath" If He Isn't Elected

Get ready, America. Trump promised a bloodbath if he isn't elected, in a campaign stop in Ohio. He was supposed to be their to support a Republican candidate for Senator, Bernie Moreno, but he spent little time discussing the candidate and focused instead on his personal grievances. On the election, Trump said, “Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole—that’s going to be the least of it. It’s gonna be a bloodbath for the country.”

Trump wants violence on his behalf when he loses in the Fall. The more violence and death, the better he will like it. He loved the insurrection in 2021 and was reluctant to call it off. His severe mental illness of malignant narcissism was on full display today, and his dystopian view of the US will be repeated many times between now and November.

I watched the longform version of that and it's 50/50 on whether it was related to his talk about tariffs on Chinese factory made vehicles because of the way it's placed.

It's debatable. Irresponsible use of hyperbole at best. Either way, poor use of language for someone running for president, I couldn't decide myself but oof.
@Mordechai that's the thing with Trump. He doesn't speak with any sense of focus or cohesiveness. It's all stream of conscious, a train of unconnected thoughts and one liners. I watched the extended clip too. He is speaking about the auto industry before the bloodbath comment, so it could very well be in conjunction with that. But the way he says it makes it seem like a general threat. Everyone is going to take it the way they personally see it.

@robingoodfellow Yeah I'm not invested or bothered at all but I found it hard to not raise an eyebrow
@robingoodfellow @Mordechai I'm 100% convinced he used the word bloodbath in that sentence intentionally, for the purpose of intimidating his enemies and getting the news media to focus on that word, so he could claim his intentions are being deliberately misrepresented.

@LordShadowfire He will continue to use violent, dystopian language throughout the campaign. And his Cult will continue to deny that his words have any meaning.
@LordShadowfire it's also ironic the people screaming about the quote being taken out of context have been taking quotes out of context on the other side consistently since the Obama era.
@robingoodfellow I know, right? They can dish it out, but they can't take it.

@LordShadowfire i'm also seeing that a few Trumpers are replying to this post that they want the bloodbath. So even if it was a metaphorical statement on the economy we can still see the more unstable part of his base- like the ones who attacked the capitol- reading it as a call to arms.
@robingoodfellow And that's the other thing. It's just like J6 all over again. He can say that he never specifically told them to attack, but he's saying it without saying it.
