I agree. In general the US school systems are somewhat bizarre. Generally an elected school board is around 8 individuals and the annual school district budge ranges between $1B - $10B annually. Individual board members net worth is in the $500K - $1M range max so having them be responsible for that much money is kind of ridiculous based on the board members actual qualifications. @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
