So far there is absolutely no evidence that it isn’t a Weather Balloon as China claims

@Dlrannie
1. Weather data collection does not require a balloon of that size.
2. It is standard international practice to announce the release of weather balloons.
3. Weather balloons, to be of any practical use, don't travel 18 km high where they are visible, but too high to provide meaningful data.
4. IF it was a weather balloon, China would simply have navigated it to land if it had blown off-course.
5. The monitoring equipment observed on the balloon from the fly-bys don't resemble weather-collection devices.
