Was only a matter of time before Trump began throwing supporters under the bus

Trump released Bannon from the privilege in a Saturday letter to Costello, saying: "If you reach an agreement on a time and place for your testimony, I will waive executive privilege for you, which will allow for you to in and testify truthfully and fairly as per the request of the Unselect Committee of political Thugs and Hacks."

Although I wouldn't expect the answer to any relevant question to be other than "The Fifth". But it will get him Steve Bannon out from under the Contempt of Congress charges and an opportunity to repeat the Holy Grail in an opening statement. Was pretty hard for him to claim executive privilege when the White House Counsel managed to find a way to answer the subpoena while honoring both executive privilege and lawyer-client privilege.

This is planned by Bannon. No more Contempt charge. Trump thinks Bannon can outsmart the committee. Maybe give honest answers behind the scenes and then when on TV live claim the committee spliced the answers they wanted together. Bannon can lie his ass off and the GQP base will believe every word. Then expect to never see any consequences when the Republicans have Congress, Senate and a Republican Supreme Court.
Whatever the Con is it's all about Bannon. Bannon is 100 times smarter than Trump is. It was Bannon who came up with America First and it was Bannon who tapped into the White Supremacist Groups.

@Pitchblue he has already been charged with contempt, the trial date was already set. hopefully the DoJ will not revoke that!
@samueltyler2 Right. Garland looks so weak. Hopefully some indictments come before November.

@Pitchblue He may appear weak, he is aware of the place he will be held in history, he is in a bad situation!

@Pitchblue I doubt they'll ask him many questions in a hearing that they don't already know the answers to. He lies and I would imagine they'd call him out immediately. And that's a crime.
