2nd amendment gun ruling.

To summarize, the right to allow ALL Americans, of sane and insane mind to purchase semi automatic weapons to enable a good mass shooting of innocent unarmed victims any where and at any time keeps the NRA and Republicans very happy.

It also serves to make America one of the most unsafe countries in the world for regular citizens.

No one should ever attempt to take away this right.

Anyone who thinks guns make America better should go work with someone with Cred in Chicago.

Anyone who thinks a good guy with a gun can stop their friends from being gunned down with high capacity rounds being used in ONE second, can go fuck themselves. There is not enough time to run, no time to turn and react. No time to defend yourself. There is only enough time to die. :/

Guns are only good for killing and it's an addictive and dangerous kind of power whether you are defensively minded or offensively minded.
redredred · M
@LordShadowfire And 1/2 gallon of gas to kill a hundred or more (Happyland Social Club arson) or a few bags of fertilizer to kill 162 (OKC Bombing) or a few plane tickets and box cutters to kill 3000 (9/11) while all rifles combined kill 400/year, fewer that hands and feet as weapons.
@redredred Another non sequitur from a dumb fuck who doesn't get the difference between the primary purpose of gasoline and the primary purpose of a gun.
redredred · M
@LordShadowfire I well understand The the primary use of firearms. As well documented here, (https://scholarlycommons.law.northwestern.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=6853&context=jclc) it’s for defensive use which far outweighs their use in homicide.

There is another word for dis-armed citizens.....targets
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@justanothername You mean the human is the cause, not the weapon! You are learning....slowly, but you are learning
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 The human race does not have thios problem. The US has this problem.
room101 · 51-55, M
@sunsporter1649 Do you wake up in the morning and decide to be intentionally stupid or does it come naturally to you? Is it your default state?

Democrats on Thursday: "We need to get rid of the Second Amendment so we can save children!"
Democrats on Friday: "We need to protect our beloved, precious abortion so we can kill children!"
Can't they make up their minds?
graphite · 61-69, M
@canusernamebemyusername You're not very bright, are you? If it's not human, why do they harvest and sell the body parts?

@justanothername Choice to do what?
justanothername · 51-55, M
@graphite You claim to be clever. You tell me.
Why shouldnt a woman have the choice to make her own decisions in life, rather than have that choice taken away from her?
Do you even know the content of the majority opinion? That's a purely rhetorical question. Of course you don't. If you did, you wouldn't drag out the same broken record talking points.

"The constitutional right to bear arms in public for self-defense is not 'a second-class right, subject to an entirely different body of rules than the other Bill of Rights guarantees,'” Justice Clarence Thomas wrote in the majority opinion. "We know of no other constitutional right that an individual may exercise only after demonstrating to government officers some special need."
@TexChik Yes. Thomas's opinion is just common sense.
@Human1000 why does the decision beg the question of what could be regulated?
Human1000 · 51-55, M
@BizSuitStacy Because there are many regulations that could violate the right of self-protection by firearm.

How many mass shootings have been perpetrated by NRA members?
Slade · 56-60, M
@DCarey probably zero

Amen

Overgeneralize much drama queen?
justanothername · 51-55, M
@CorvusBlackthorne They do that currently and have been for a while, it’s called the US Army. Maybe you have heard of them?
@justanothername Oh, goodness! You mean there already is such a militia? Well, that solves the entire problem, then.
justanothername · 51-55, M
@CorvusBlackthorne Last time I checked there was two, Army and Marines. They offer the whole nine yards when it comes to training but maybe they don’t advertise on right wing networks..?
justanothername · 51-55, M
@TheRascallyOne That’s about right.
Human1000 · 51-55, M
@TheRascallyOne Boy, is that stupid as fuck.
redredred · M
Insanity disqualifies a person from legally buying or possessing a firearm under federal law but, hey, don’t let the facts get in the way a moderately okay rant.
redredred · M
@LordShadowfire If you want information on 666 mass murders you can do the research yourself. If you have a valid point to make, I’ll listen.
@redredred I actually do have a valid point, Sparky. Let's take the Buffalo shooting as an example. This high school kid was bragging all over social media about how he was going to shoot up this black-owned supermarket. He went into great detail, even talking about which security guard he was going to have to kill in order to shoot a maximum number of people in a minimum amount of time. This should have been a huge red flag that would have prevented him from purchasing firearms, yes? But when he was questioned about it at school, he said he was "just kidding", and they let it go. Had that been entered into his permanent record, he would have been prevented from purchasing the rifles he used to shoot up the supermarket.

So please tell me how his insanity prevented him from being allowed to own a weapon.
redredred · M
@LordShadowfire just like the pussies in Uvalde, there is little about a law enforcement failure that has much to do with legitimate firearm use and law abiding ownership.
The right-wing finds mass shooting acceptable.

sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Slade deadwood supports giving a clown convicted of 4 counts of attempted murder a whopping sentence of 120 days in jail so nobody will ever get thru his thick skull that the firearm is not the problem
@sunsporter1649 Great strawman fallacy dude!!

Slade · 56-60, M
@sunsporter1649 That's for sure.
TexChik · F
Nothing of what you just said is actually fact.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@TexChik Since when has that ever stopped a left-wing nut-job from running off at the mouth?
TexChik · F
@sunsporter1649 Hahahaha...libs refuse to understand the 2A isnt going anywhere.
Human1000 · 51-55, M
The right to own any weapon by anyone is guaranteed. Any restriction on that right that did not exist in 1789 is null and avoid. The remedy for murder is to punish the murderer, not to prevent them from owning the means of such killing.
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@Human1000 Oh, well that is OK. Would you go to the Mothers who have lost teir children and say that?

I hope you are never in that position, but if you are, I hope you appreciate the person who comes to you and says that is unfortunate.
Human1000 · 51-55, M
@justanothername @Zeusdelight Freedom’s martyrs, I suppose. If my family was killed at least it will be for a noble cause, defense against tyranny. The way the Founders intended. May God bless their holy mission.

Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
@Human1000 Oh, you are a victim of tyranny??

What a privileged idiot you are. You have no concept of tyranny, yet all your fears tell you that you are subject of one.

You are scared yet, so you hold children in terror because of your fear.

Pretty gutless really.
LonelyMan · M
Take away the right to purchase assault weapons, no readon to have one besides showing off to others. Unfortunately, criminals dont care about laws. And will still get them.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@LonelyMan Define assault weapon
LonelyMan · M
@sunsporter1649 Not playing your semantics games.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@LonelyMan If one can not define something, how can one approve or disapprove of something?
Elessar · 26-30, M
Wanna bet that when it'll be women, LGBT, and racial minorities starting to brand assault rifles at their rallies the GOP will do a 180° backflip on this stance, becoming the strongest pro-guns-regulation force in the whole U.S.?
