They'll never know the joy of throwing freshly made coffee up in the air and watching it crystalize before it hits the ground.

@PrincessVelvet I saw a video this week of a woman with a pitcher of boiling water pouring it in a spiral on the ground and the spiral froze.

@cherokeepatti That would be really interesting to watch.

I sometimes wonder what's it like to never know winter and if I could ever move to such country without missing it.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@CrazyMusicLover Yeah I thought Kauai would be the ideal climate for me since extreme heat and cold weather were messing with my health so much. I could have a good raised bed garden growing many vegetables and fruits all year round. Could grow so much more with the rainfall naturally watering it and no stress from extreme temperature changes or going dormant several months of the year. Also could still get out during the off-season for tourists and enjoy all the things that would be crowded during summer and breaks.

I have lived in places with winter and snow.
I now live in a place with no real winter.
I am not missing winter. 😂

Having to open your trunk with a crowbar because it's so cold is insane.

I like visiting Winter, not living in it!

-30° F below wind chill for the low tonight
latinbutterfly · F
@HumanEarth -11F For us. It's crazy to think that's not as bad as the previous couple of nights.
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
The coldest I've seen here with wind chill mind you is -75°F below zero temperatures

One thing about California, it is possible to drive up to snow country for like a weekend, which my friends and I used to do. But where I live we don’t get to see it every day like folks in the East, and I’ve often wondered what that would be like. ⛄️
