Did you ever build a tree house when you were a kid?

We used to make "bases" out of found bits of wood and stuff.

Yes we built a tree house , it was a great tree ,strong branches . My cousin ,an other friend and I . We collected scrap wood that we found on the beach , luged them home and built a tree house about 10 feet up in the tree. We even spent a few nights camping in it.

Another summer we made a big raft from old logs Couldn’t go very far with it ( way to heavy ) hard to get around but worked good as a place to dive off or just sit after we figured out how to anchor it in one place.

Those were fun times long ago.

Oh yes! Self-made, by my sister, my cousin, and yours truly.

At my boarding school there was a clearing in the woods where we would go in the summer to camp and make fires. Generations of schoolgirls had made a variety of dens and shelters. These were treated respectfully and carefully maintained and extended.

There was a hollow tree which we used as a dead letterbox for romantic communications 😌

A bunch. My dad had a grocery store and when I was about 6 or so they did remodeling and just piled the construction leftovers and old stuff in a corner of our back yard, where it became our raw material for tree houses, club houses, etc for 4 or 5 years.

My dad built me a treehouse at the bottom of the garden. I used to go there to take my clothes off.

We dragged old pallets and boards out of a builder's skip home and made our house.
