How do you beat the heat?

Right here now in eastern Australia where I am (near Newcastle) it's 4 C outside at almost 6 am, and will not get above 20 C today. Still our winter season here. 97 F is like about 36 C and to us that's standard summer temps. I don't have AC that works or any heating in my house. For cold i put more clothes on, for hot I take more clothes off.

Well as soon as I get home from work usually strip down to bra and panties sometimes no bra until my kids complain or are around ugh lol it's like 100 degrees currently but I do have this currently good cold hospital AC blasting in my office at 50 then in a hour or so up to 70 in the surgery bay it's usually 68 or so

1) I chose to live in a milder cliamte

2) my apt. is laarly surrounded by soil, which stays 6 months behind ambient temperature

3 I live VERY cclose to a clean river,, and float on it often

is your attic space well insulated?? i have r60 value in mine...HUGE IMPROVEMENT

Central AC. We also have windows that help keep the heat out and the cool inside.

It is 41 here. My son is swimming in the pool with his cousins while I just stay and pack inside.

The basement is usually cooler than other parts of the house so we congregate there.
