How do you beat the heat?

I have central AC but on these 90+ degree days, it has trouble keeping up. Today is supposed to be 97. I am so glad I have this unit to back up my system.

Right here now in eastern Australia where I am (near Newcastle) it's 4 C outside at almost 6 am, and will not get above 20 C today. Still our winter season here. 97 F is like about 36 C and to us that's standard summer temps. I don't have AC that works or any heating in my house. For cold i put more clothes on, for hot I take more clothes off.
