Play therapy went well

So play therapy went well for my son. He really enjoyed it and I think it will help him. We're even going to use this to help him deal with his mother leaving.

We've come up a game plan for handling the next storm.

My Thunderstorm Brave Plan!
✅ Check off the things that help me feel safe and calm!

🧸 Comfort Helpers
☐ I have my favorite stuffed animal or blanket
☐ I’m in my cozy spot (bed, couch, reading nook)
☐ I hold a fidget toy, book, or flashlight

🎨 Express My Feelings
☐ I draw how the storm makes me feel
☐ I play with my toys or puppets to tell a story
☐ I help my toy friend feel better about the storm

🌬 Calm Down Tools
☐ I take deep breaths like I’m blowing bubbles
☐ I pretend to blow up a big balloon
☐ I sing my “Safe Song” or hum a happy tune

📝 My Storm Plan
☐ Go to my safe room (write/draw where it is: ___________)
☐ Cuddle up with Dad/PaPa or someone I trust
☐ Do a fun calm activity (draw, read, cuddle)
☐ Tell someone how I feel

💪 I Am Brave Because:
☐ I stayed calm
☐ I helped my toy or puppet feel safe
☐ I used my brave tools
☐ I asked for help when I needed it

🎉 Great job! Every time you use your Brave Plan, you're getting stronger and braver—even in the middle of a storm.

So I really think this will be helpful for him
