So...the storm coming up the eastern seaboard is supposed to be a BAD one. It's huge.

@Gibbon I thought snow could only happen when it was 32F...so I am sort of surprised that the temperature is going to be 33F for the big blizzard! Maybe it WILL be all rain! THAT would be wonderful!

@4meAndyou Yes my thoughts exactly however it's supposed to get very windy here after it's finished coming down early tomorrow morning

@MellyMel22 And their CAR is parked in the train station parking lot. IF they get home tonight, and IF you decide to drive home, don't go faster than 20 mph. Creep and crawl back home, and be very, very cautious!

@4meAndyou I had to get dropped of which is worse b/c now it’s two ways out. They have side street parking and without snow cars get swiped, so I def don’t want mine there during or after a storm.

@saragoodtimes My friend, in Halifax, Massachusetts can't even get outside his front door, because it is blocked with snow. He has a 7' drift between his house, and his neighbors.

The governor of Massachusetts had to impose a travel ban, with a $500 fine for driving while the ban was in effect. The travel ban was just lifted at noon today.

I had power, but I was one of the lucky ones. I did lose internet and tv, and for a while last night, my phone wouldn't call out.

@faery Our water usually runs okay, but I do keep a gallon of it for when the water and sewer lines are being worked on.

@Musicman Yes. If I wasn't such a private person I could hang out down in the community room, because there will be heat down there, AND there will be a generator powering the kitchen down there also, so that I COULD just use that kitchen.

BUT I prefer being on my own....chairs are softer...AND I have a little Sterno stove and plenty of Sterno.

I won't worry about the food in my fridge until the power is out for more than 24 hours.
