I ask this because I just sold part of my property. The realtor wouldn't tell me anything about him. Or what he's going to do with the land. I signed papers on Wednesday, and on Thursday I hear several 4 wheelers out there making so much noise that I'll have to wear earplugs if I want any peace and quiet. I've lived here my whole life and felt very calm and relaxed. Now I'll have to up my anxiety meds or sell my house and move somewhere else.
I met him today and asked him about the 4 wheelers I heard. He said yes him and his buddies like to ride 4 wheelers and party.

a few handfuls of roofing nails would take care of the atv's...

The peace in the country:

Neoerectus · M
@melissa001 Anonymous tip to local TV maybe?
melissa001 · 51-55, F
@Neoerectus I knew one of them from highschool and he's a beloved police officer I doubt that would work.
Plus he lets people he knows get by with everything.
melissa001 · 51-55, F
@Neoerectus my cousin who lives right next to me lost his a long time ago and the officer knows he doesn't have a license. But he has yet to be taken to jail.

Peace and quiet. For privacy.
melissa001 · 51-55, F

The peace and quiet can not be rated highly enough. The fresh clean air, the sounds of the wind in the trees, the sounds of all the wildlife...recharges my soul.

I'm sorry that happened. It is sad how some people don't respect the quiet, or other people.
I'm so sorry about the noise. That's terrible. 😞
melissa001 · 51-55, F
@PhoenixPhail there's nothing I can do about it. But I'm still pissed.
@melissa001 I don't blame you. I would be, too.
MaryDreamilton · 46-50, F
I wouldn't. I've always been a city girl. I'm nearly 48 and I still love nightclubs.
WillaKissing · 56-60
Nope, I will not move outside of the US, The Army sent me all around the world and I have seen what it is like enough to know it's cool to visit (Except for the middle east right now, or Russia) these places if you wish too, but to keep my United States as home.
melissa001 · 51-55, F
@WillaKissing I'm not talking about moving " out " the country. I mean moving to the rural areas away from the city.
WillaKissing · 56-60
@melissa001 I already did that once I was retired and bought a forestry farm in Southern Ohio on 5-8-2012.

Sue the realtor for not disclosing information he undoubtedly knew what his buyer was looking for and he withheld that information from you. In this current market there's a lot of shady stuff going on and agents are rightfully going to be sued left and right and forced out of the industry.
melissa001 · 51-55, F
@SW-User supposedly it's the law. They are not aloud to tell the seller anything about the buyer.

I’d go for the solitude
Oh, that's just great.☹️

Dave Ramsey says lots of space is a great buffer. Sorry to hear your issues and buddies can be like roaches lot more than you can see. You may be in for it
melissa001 · 51-55, F
@Applepiedom I have about 100 ft from my house to his now.
Applepiedom · 56-60, M
@melissa001 sorry.
Livingwell · 61-69, M
Yes! And I did to a small town. I love the quiet, the people, lover cost and traffic, and taxes.
melissa001 · 51-55, F
@Livingwell yeah me too.
Livingwell · 61-69, M
@melissa001 Isn't it wonderful? I love how friendly everyone is.
melissa001 · 51-55, F
@Livingwell people for the most part are friendly here.
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
I'd probably both relax and dirt bike. My dad has a lake place and with all the weekenders its too loud to relax on the weekends. Weekends are for yard work and play. Week days are so serene.
To get away from the migrants aka illegals that many are becoming violent and dirtying up our cities and demanding we support them!

Wait til they shoot things (not actual hunting) since they are now "out in the country."

Have had that experience.
melissa001 · 51-55, F
@Neoerectus I have too. They will probably hunt because there is wooded acreage and a pond on the property.

It always boils down to opinion #2. One and Three can be rolled into # two!
pdockal · 56-60, M
Check noise ordenenses and if that's allowed on his property
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
Only the first. I wouldn’t rule it out, but I don’t see it happening.
