weatherman is saying we could see up to 5 inches of rain as the remnants hit us starting tonight.
saragoodtimes · F
@Musicman live not far from the river. on the upside, the lower part floods pretty bad
@saragoodtimes Stay safe. You have a whole house generator don't you?
saragoodtimes · F
@Musicman yes, looks like just rain no wind. power should be OK
Sevendays · M
Have they said what you'll be expecting?

Good luck! I hope it won't be too bad for you or others in FL.

Looks like that one is only going to be a Florida (area) thing. Batten down the hatches!

Have you lost power yet?

@Musicman Thank goodness she is okay. Just realize that lots of trips to doctors offices will expose her to a lot of germs, and her immune system is shot due to chemo pills.
You might want to buy her some Tulsi drops on Amazon, and have her drink a glass of water with 5 drops every morning. That will strengthen her immune system.

Just a progress report for Tropical Storm Debby!
Today is August 10th, which is 6 days after you first posted this thread about Debby. By now, those of you in Florida have long-forgotten Debby and the cleanup is probably complete by now in your house and yard.
But here we are 6 days later and Tropical Storm Debby is still alive and well! It just skirted Toronto which is 1500 miles north of Tampa and even today we felt high winds from the outer bands of Debby!
In the city of Montreal which is 400 miles north of New York City, Debby dumped 8 inches of rain yesterday over a period of 3 hours in the downtown area, leaving cars abandoned in the middle of the city center!
It's not over yet! Canadian weather forecasters are tracking Debby who say she will end up in Halifax by Monday and is still just as strong today as it was when it tracked over Orlando 6 days ago!

@Musicman
The electricity never went off at my place because the building has a generator unit sitting up on the roof for moments like this. My drinking water is bottled from a spring water source not far from here, which is delivered to my door, regardless of the water situation.
I don't drink tap water and the toilet and shower seem to work fine, so there's no real water issue in Toronto. Can't say the same for Montreal though! Oddly enough, in Montreal the tap water is fine because water is still being purified that ends up at the water purification plant and the water plant pumps water from generator power too.
