I am a fan of snakes, and I believe the only snake hunting should be done with a camera. The exception is capturing enough to provide venom to produce antivenom meds.

The most common snake around here is the pesky Snow Snake. They come in two varieties and the common garter snake. I see a lot of snow snakes and occasionally a garter snake.

@Musicman One of those two reporters even said that, she didn’t want to be there. I don’t even know what that tv station manager was thinking. If they thought it was a good idea they should have gotten their butts down there with those women and tried their hand at it. I would probably faint and fall down and get bit. I have seen enough venomous snakes in different areas where I live that I don’t want to go hunting for them. I do respect those who do, there would probably be no cattle ranching if someone didn’t try to catch them. They’ll bite cattle, sheep, goats, etc. and kill them when they get overpopulated and expand their territories. They can also find their way up into toilets in rural areas and gather in crawl spaces under homes and in cellars and under sheds etc.
