Do u usually wait till your neighbors start to mow for u to go out and mow your yard

No but I had a wry chuckle at the question and the image it formed in my imagination:

a) I have a small lawn but neither of my immediate neighbours does,

b) There is some Transatlantic difference in meaning here, by which mowing the "yard" would not be very productive nor good for the mower. It's for cutting grass, not concrete. (Our homes have "gardens" or "yards", sometimes both; a "yard" being a paved area).

Nope, I get get a good crop of clover flowers going and let my bees have at it! The neighbor cuts his to a quarter inch and just glares at me over the fence...

No -preemtive. Got to mow early in the year and as alte before the rain. Get the ground as level as possible bfore it dries out.
I don't agree with mowing, unless you push a reel mower and do it sparingly.

No I usually never mow those things are heavy to push. It's a man's job 🤪
I never start earlier than 10 a.m. or later than 7 pm .. or if they have an outdoor gathering underway

Heck no. Even if there was a lawn to mow, which there isn't.
