If I planted stinging nettlesWe have a problem with skunks and rats around here, also raccoons. If I rip out the garden along the fence and plant tons of stinging nettles do you think that would keep them from hiding underneath? Is there something better for this?

I fed a crow last month some raspberries I wasn't keen on. And now there are always a few crows kicking around my garden.I think I like it. My daughter is fascinated by them, but the dog is absolutely not impressed. I might get a bird table set up before winter arrives so I can keep them fed and watered through the difficult months of the year.

Do you improvise in your garden?I have to outsmart the squirrels digging things up. So either side onf the honeysuckle I've got runner beans and cucumbers growing very well so far. Lots of netting around the base ( which they hate) and they seem happy.
