Looks tranquil, needs a bird bath, hummingbird feeders etc. If there was a large water fountain there it would probably be a sanctuary for wild birds including doves.

@Matt85 Yesterday I watched a squirrel in the bird feeder through the mini blinds. It was in the middle of the open feeder eating. One of the feral neighborhood cats was looking up watching. Carefully maneuvered to the other side of the tree and slowly climbed up to get higher up to look down & watched the squirrel. Another feral (I think feral have seen this yellow cat often around here) started eating the dry food I put out for Rhubarb. Three more squirrels came into the yard, two got up in the tree and the other one got under the feeder to eat the seeds that fell to the ground. . Then two more large well-fed cats that I didn’t recognize walked up pretty close, watched the yellow cat eating and left. And a ringneck dove flew over and started pecking around finding bits of food. All this in a very close range to one another. I was watching till the dove finally left, it didn’t seem scared of the cats or the squirrels. All this within 15 minutes. The cat in the tree couldn’t figure out how to get to the squirrel and the squirrel looked up and saw the cat and continued eating.

@Matt85 I was peeking through the mini-blinds in the boy’s bedroom. Knew if I opened the blinds up and pulled them up it would probably scare every one of them away. I tried taking a photo through the little opening in the blinds, it was too hard to get a good shot while holding the blind open.

This is what I would call an English garden, using shrubbery alone instead of adding flowers. While it is planned and lightly sculpted, it has been planned with the natural colors of the shrubbery in contrapunto, as though it was a musical expression of point and counterpoint.
Here is a photo of a more formally sculpted shrubbery garden, with tiny dots of floral color here and there...(but not much).

I like it because it actually has trees and grass in it and it’s not just a yard 👍.
I approve.
