What plants do you have in your garden to attract bees and butterflies?

This is a little Carder Bee that was astray in the garden end of last year, but always food available, no matter the time of year .. the importance of food for the bees, always. Here I planted Mahonia, which is a winter flowering shrub.

I love bugs of all kinds. They are important for our world and all ecosystems. Humans just kill everything, only caring about themselves and rarely about this amazing planet we are on.
Keep those flowers growing. If my back yard wasn't made of clay I would totally plant flowers everywhere and give up mowing the grass.
That’s really cool. My father has fruit trees and rose bushes, which attract them, but my sister’s brother-in-law is actually a beekeeper, really wild. I’m sensitive to stings and insect bites, so I have to be careful, but I find it fascinating.

@bijouxbroussard Some bees don't sting but they still have powerful mandibles and can inflict painful bites! 🐝

I have weeds with random flowers that started growing...the bees seem to like them. :) I also love to stare at the bees doing their thing.

Hundreds and hundreds of trees and I only remove weeds from the trees root parameter, not from between the rows. So it is basically allowing them their own wild environment.
