Is Moonlight Butterfly begonia real?
Begonia 'Moonlight Butterfly' A captivating display of dark, almost black leaves adorned with intricate white veins, resembling the wings of a butterfly. Plant care guide: Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. Water: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy.
Found this on Facebook, so at least I know it's real. I would sure love to have one: Etsy supposedly sells them. Etsy is another fantastic avenue for acquiring a Begonia Moonlight Butterfly. One listing offers seeds for this rare plant at a reasonable price, with free shipping included. Shopping on Etsy allows for a personal touch, as many sellers provide detailed descriptions about their cultivation methods and care. You might even discover unique variations or hybrids that aren’t found elsewhere, enhancing your collection’s diversity.
Water: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out slightly between waterings.
Soil: Well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter.
Temperature: 65-80°F (18-27°C). Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity. Misting the leaves regularly or using a humidifier can help maintain humidity.
Fertilizer: Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength once a month during the growing season.
Garden decoration ideas:
These striking begonias are perfect for adding a touch of drama and elegance to your indoor garden. They can be displayed on their own or combined with other plants for a colorful and vibrant arrangement.
Now, I did find tons of begonias on Etsy and here's one of them:

Here's a plant I bought recently and I just love it. Just too cute. I'm getting more live plants now but for now I have plenty. My daughter gave me a pineapple tree which I just adore and then a huge palm tree that I'm crazy about as well. I said I'd never have another life plant in the house but here I have them and I sure am enjoying them. However I had to put that one product that keeps the gnats from infesting your home that love to dig in the dirt. Oh my gosh I was being inundated with gnats when I bought those plants and I had no idea, but when I put that product down, a few inches of it, that stopped that! Oh my gosh it was horrible.

I shouldn't have went to Etsy. I bought these. There was so many and I could not resist these. I'm sure they'll just come as starter plants but I hope they make it.
I couldn't find this one and I was wanting that so bad. Maybe next year.

Why did you delete the image? I was wanting to see it again. Those were just beautiful and I would like to have some myself. I wonder what they were. Oh I see now why you deleted it. That's a shame. I'm going to look and see if there is such a begonia like that because that other lady tried and she kept going back to this one site. It's sad that people have to resort to tricks like this. I thought that was very odd that I had never seen that type plant before.

@UnderLockDown yeah I removed the photo.
UnderLockDown · M
@cherokeepatti I'd love to grow these, too bad it's a fake.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@UnderLockDown next best thing is to grow plants that attract butterflies…butterfly bushes, coleus, etc.

@cherokeepatti appreciate your respect for their rights
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@WandererTony they should post it in large type on every page
WandererTony · 56-60, M
@cherokeepatti that they won't. It will disclose how money minded they are.
4meAndyou · F
Wow! They look like butterflies!
Sojournersoul · M
@4meAndyou I was going to say that.

I'm growing a few very unusual plants myself but unfortunately I cannot post the pictures here cuz I never know who exactly is watching. Have you ever want to exchange gardening tips I'd be glad to help out
MaryDreamilton · 46-50, F
Why did you delete the image?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MaryDreamilton because someone else went to the website where they were featured and on the “About” page it said that the image were for sale, no plants were for sale apparently. I’m thinking it could just be another scam site.
MaryDreamilton · 46-50, F
@cherokeepatti I see. That's a pity. I'd like to see the plants.
akindheart · 61-69, F
hey where is the image? i love to grow things
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@akindheart I went to a single website that featured this and they weren’t even selling them. I believe that they are AI-generated images. If I could remove my post I would. It could be a scam site for all I know.
